Current Information:Born-Clerkenwell Kemmel Chateau Military Cemetery, Belgium
4th Royal Fusiliers of 9 Brigade, 3rd Division moved back into the front line at Kemmel in Belgium on 18th May, 1916. The Battalion Diary recorded that on 22nd May, the enemy’s trench mortars started up in the morning but that by now the men were good at dodging them. Not that good however because they killed seven men from 4th Royal Fusiliers that day, including James Watt. |
